India has one player each in the men's and women's singles final match of the Swiss Open 2022 which will be held today

Welcome to the live blog of The Bridge from the finals of the Swiss Open 2022.

Only two Indian shuttlers - PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy are left in the final round of the Swiss Open to be held today. Sindhu will be taking on World No. 11 Busanan Ongbamrungphan of Thailand. Meanwhile, HS Prannoy will take on Jonathan Christie of Singapore who defeated Kidambi Srikanth yesterday.

The matches are set to begin at approximately around 3:30 pm IST.

PV Sindhu emerged as the winner while HS Prannoy, unfortunately, lost out in the final. Both players were brilliant however and showed no signs of fatigue despite playing for 5 days straight.

21-12, 21-18 is the final core as HS Prannoy goes down fighting to his opponent. He did really well in Game 2 but it was not enough to secure a much needed comeback.

Prannoy needs to act now and slow Christies game down to recover the necessary 5 points.

Prannoy knows the importance of this Game and has ket at it since the beginning of Game 2. He needs to recover soon and take the lead earlier if he is to salvage the overall Game score.
