In what was indeed a very tricky encounter for Prannoy, he has managed to defeat the Belgian 21-9, 18-21, 21-9. The first game was smooth sailing for Prannoy and as was the second until Prannoy went up 6-1. Julien Carraggi mustered up an inspired comeback from there to take the second game but Prannoy held his own and crossed the finish line in the deciding set.
He now moves into the round of 16 of the Singapore Open.
