A hard fought 21-9, 11-21, 21-15 win for PV Sindhu in the final of Singapore Open and this is now her first Super 500 title for the Indian.
A much needed victory for Sindhu who has looked a bit out of sorts this season and with the Commonwealth Games around the corner, this win should give her a lot of confidence to go for gold in Birmingham.
There's the win. Sindhu does not waste any match point and wins the decider 21-15 to clinch the title. There comes the roar and it shows how much this win meant for her.
Sindhu smashes and she smashes herself into 5 Match Point opportunities. The Indian leads 20-15 and now this should not be all that hard.
PV Sindhu is inching ever so closer to her first Super 500 title of the year. She leads 18-14 at the moment, but this is far from over if what we have witnessed so far is anything to go by.
A stunning rally and Sindhu looks well in control for a major part of it. But the Chinese comes out with a beautiful drop shot and there is no way for Sindhu to reach that. Wonderful!
Sindhu leads 15-12.
This is a sensational fightback from Wang post the change of ends as she reduces her deficit to just one point at 11-12. A complete loss of momentum for Sindhu.
A tinge of aggression finally from Sindhu in this contest and she goes into the change of sides in the decider with an 11-6 lead. Can Sindhu close this off easily?
Wang faltering under pressure now and Sindhu takes toll. The Indian leads 8-5 in the decider as unforced errors mount from the Chinese.
