The women's doubles pair of Shreya and Srinidhi are through to the R32 with a 21-13, 21-8 win over the pair from Germany in just 22 minutes.
The men's doubles pair of Nicholas Raj and Tushar Suveer are out of contention after going down to the Japanese pair 11-21, 13-21 in mere 25 minutes.
Arsh Mohammad and Abhinav Thakur go down 21-12, 14-21, 20-22 to Smuch and Phooriwat in a hard-fought battle.
Isharani and Devika go down 15-21, 21-13, 18-21 to Thailand's Prinda and Napha in a contest which lasted 1 hour and 2 minutes.
After a good display in the first game, Arsh and Abhinav have surrendered the second game 21-14.
Much better display from the Thai pair in the second game so far, but Arsh and Abhinav have their nose ahead at 11-10. Can the Indians close this off?
