UPDATE - Sameer Verma retires against Canada's Brian Yang

Sameer Verma, who was hoping to keep his winning momentum going, retired after playing only 6 points in his Round 2 match against Brian Yang of Canada. The sixth-seeded Indian had earlier informed The Bridge that he isn't 100% fit and is still nursing a few niggling injuries.

We hope Sameer Verma comes back stronger. Brian Yang, meanwhile, progresses to Round 3 by virtue of Verma retiring at 4-2 in Game 1.
