As compared to Day 1, the second day of the French Open 2022 was quite fruitful for the Indian shuttlers. It did began with an upset but it was only wins from then on.

It was Dhruv Kapila and MR Arjun in action first but they had to be content with an early exit at the hands of Indonesian pair Alfian/Ardianto with a score line of 15-21, 16-21. This loss meant Satwik/Chirag is the only doubles pair in the competition from India.

Next came the resurgent Sameer Verma. The Indian was poised against Indonesian Anthony Ginting, who was touted as the sure-shot victor in this match. However, Verma gave it his all and clinched the match 21-15, 21-23, 22-20 in an outstanding display of grit and determination.

HS Prannoy was another Indian Men's singles player to go through to the next round after a fiery outing against Malaysian Daren Liew, who received a red card after his defeat for throwing a racquet in anger.

The crowning game of the day was the matchup between Lakshya Sen and Kidambi Srikanth. The latter started excellently as he won the first game 21-18. Sen tried to redeem himself in the second set, but despite doing some errors, Kidambi won the it 21-18 as well to oust Sen.
