Unnati Hooda beats Shriyanshi Valishetty in straight games to complete what has been a perfect day for her. Malvika Bansod also trods over her opponent in straight games. The story of the day has been the rise of the younger girls, even as Aakarshi Kashyap now stares at elimination.
Ashmita Chaliha beats Aakarshi in straight games! The top seed is out, Ashmita marches on.
It's Ashmita Chaliha who has the lead against top seed Akarshi. Having lost her first match already, another game lost here would send Akarshi tumbling out of the Asian Games squad.
Lakshya wins against Meiraba 21-14,18-21,21-16. Big escape for him. 2 wins out of 2 for Lakshya then today. With his second defeat, Meiraba is out of contention for the Asian Games. He ran Lakshya close here today though. It was 11-10 in the final break of the match.
Meiraba wins the second set 21-18! Lakshya conceded a big lead in the second game, but then mounted a roaring comeback but it was not enough. Meiraba gets back the match all square after 2 games.
We are into the decider!
