It has been an exciting three weeks in Indonesia and for Indian badminton fans, the 2021 BWF season cannot have ended on a sweeter note as PV Sindhu has booked her space in the final two and will be taking on Korea's budding sensation An Se Young in the finals here in Bali, Indonesia. Sindhu, saw off a gutsy Akane Yamaguchi, the World No. 3 in a tight, three-game affair, 21-15, 15-21, 21-19 to set up her date with An Se Young who ousted Thai youngster Pornpawee Chochuwong, 25-23, 21-17.
The reigning World Champion has squared off twice against the 19-year-old South Korean and hasn't been able to cause much damage against the fast-rising teenager. Meanwhile, Se Young, the 2019 BWF Most Promising Player of the Year has picked up the titles at the Indonesia Open and Indonesia Masters and will be looking to end the Indonesia campaign with a 3/3 success. It remains to be seen if the 2-time Olympic medallist can pull out her big guns and overturn the narrative.

That is PV Sindhu's second runners up title at the World Tour Finals - not something she would have hoped for, but it is what it is. An Se Young is just exceptional and Sindhu will have to come up with something much, much better if she is to hold on to her World Championships title in the coming weeks.

What a rise this has been for the 19-year-old An Se Young. Her third women's singles title in 3 weeks and I certainly won't be surprised, if she is crowned the World Champion as well in the next couple of weeks. UNSTOPPABLE!
PV Sindhu saves two match points, but it does not matter as An Se Young clinches the BWF World Tour Finals Title with a 21-16, 21-12 win in 38 minutes.
The end is near for PV Sindhu. I do not see a comeback from here for the reigning World Champion.

Consecutive points for the South Korean post the break and she now has a seven-point lead at 15-8. This match and the title seems to be slipping away from PV Sindhu.
Sindhu has been much better in this game, but it is An Se Young who once again has the lead at the mid-game interval. 11-8, this time.
