Indian shuttlers continued their campaign in the second round of the 2025 Badminton Asia Championships in Ningbo, China, on Thursday.
PV Sindhu was the biggest name on the second day of the competition for India, but she fell short against her arch-rival and one of the renowned shuttlers, Akane Yamaguchi of Japan, in the second round.
Priyanshu Rajawat and Kiran George also exited from the competition, ending India's challenge in the men's singles department. Meanwhile, the pairing of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto reached the quarterfinals in mixed doubles.

This men's doubles match is the final match of the day for India where the young Indian pairing will take on the Olympic medalist Malaysian pair.
India had only one win on the day as the mixed doubles pairing of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto registered a tight three-game win over the Chinese Taipei pair to book a place in the last eight.
Meanwhile, PV Sindhu exited in the second round.

Priyanshu Rajawat went down against Kodai Naraoka of Japan in the second round, ending India's campaign in the men's singles department.
Priyanshu could not offer much resistance against a defensive masterclass of Kodai, ending his dream for maiden Asian medal.

The Indian maestro failed to win a medal at the Asian Championships yet again. She faced a tight three-game defeat to Akane Yamaguchi of Japan.
Sindu showed an improved game today, but it wasn't enough for her to reach the quarterfinal, and hence, she faced a second-round exit from the tournament.

Kiran Goerige put up a lot of pressure on the world no.5 in the second round match, but eventually, the experienced Thai shuttler Kunlavut Vitisdarn edged past Kiran in the tight three-game affair.

Akane proved too much for the Indian shuttler in the first game as she easily won the game with the score of 21-11 as Sindhu had no answers to her gameplay.
