Lakshya Sen created history by causing yet another big upset as he battled past the defending All England Champion, Lee Zii Jia in a thriller to become the first Indian man to reach a singles final in 21 years. Lakshya won 21-13, 12-21, 21-19!

Meanwhile, the underdog pair of Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly, who showed great spunk in the tournament, took on China's Zhang/Zheng in the semi-finals but lost out closely, 21-17, 21-16.

Lakshya Sen remains the talking point of badminton town as the phenomenal Indian is simply on the rise as he is into the third final in a row at all 3 BWF events he has taken part in this year - India Open, German Open and now, All England Open!

Sen will go on to meet the winner of Viktor Axelsen and Chou Tien Chen in the finals tomorrow!
