Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen on Saturday lost to Indonesia's Jonatan Christie in the semifinal of the All England Open Badminton Championships in Birmingham. 

Christie, ranked ninth, won the opening game 12-21. Lakshya, playing in his second consecutive semifinal, fought back to win the second game 21-10. 

In the deciding third game, Christie's impeccable defence would see Lakshya losing patience and going for the kills frequently. The Indonesian shuttler retrieved almost everything hurled at him to win sapping rallies. 

Christie eventually won the game 21-15, staving off a late comeback from the Indian shuttler. Christie will meet fellow Indonesian Anthony Ginting in the final on Sunday.
