The pre-quarterfinal action concluded for India at the 2026 All England Super 1000 tournament in the Utility Arena in Birmingham on Thursday.

Lakshya remained unbeaten, following his first-round upset victory over top seed Shi Yu Qi with a three-game win over Hong Kong's Ng Ka Long Angus in the round of 16.

In the mixed doubles, the pairing of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto had an unfortunate end as the pair was forced to withdraw due to Dhruv's back injury.

A mixed day for India as Lakshya Sen claimed a victory in a three-game affair, whereas the mixed doubles pair of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto was forced to retire out.

An unfortunate end to Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila's campaign at the 2026 All England Open as Dhruv faced some catch in his back while retrieving a wide smash.

The Indian duo was putting up a good fight against the world no.7 Hong Kong pair of Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet, but were eventually forced to withdraw due to Dhruv's injury.

Final Score: Dhruv/ Tanisha (IND) retired out 19-21, 8-9 to Tang/ Tse (HKG)
