Treesa Jolly produces an error from the Japanese pair. Match point again. An epic rally follows. A 61-shot rally. The longest of the match. Till Treesa hits the net. And a 4th match point lost. Treesa produces another. Another smash into Gayathri saves the match for the Japanese. This is tense!

India lose all 3 match points

Gayathri looks for the kill. Hits the net. 2 match points left. A weak return for then hits the net. 1 match point left. And the third also is lost as the Japanese pair manage to fire a winner into Gayathri. All 3 match points lost.

Treesa Jolly gets India to match point

A net point gets the Japanese to 16-19. An error from an over eager Treesa to get them to 17-19. Are the Indians throwing away their lead here? A cross net drive from Treesa gets the Indians to match point.

The flatter shots working in the Indians' favour. The shorter the rallies are the more susceptible the Japanese are. A series of three points gets them up 7-2 early on. Errors creeping in into the Japanese pair's game.
