Led by Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra, Debutants DP Manu and Kishore Kumar Jena secured their berth in the final of the Javelin Throw at the World Athletics Championships 2023.

- DP Manu- 81.31m (6th)
- Kishore Kumar Jena- 80.55m (9th)

We will have three Indians in the Javelin Throw final at World Athletics Championships with DP Manu and Kishore Kumar Jena qualifying as the automatic qualifiers.
80.55m remains the best throw for Kishore Kumar Jena and he will hope that nobody crosses his mark. He is placed 9th in the qualifying list at the moment.
With one more throw left for Kishore Kumar Jena, it looks we will have three Indians in the Javelin throw final.
Kishore Kumar Jena throws 78.07 and he has moved to fifth place in the group as Arshan Nadeem throws 81.53m.
A big throw of 80.55m for Kishore Kumar Jena and he leads the Group B. Brilliant start for the Indian thrower.
While Neeraj has qualified for the finals, DP Manu has given himself a solid advantage with a throw of 81.31m and is most likely to go through to the final.
The Indian athlete threw 72.40m on the third attempt and 81.31m remains his best throw and he is placed third in the group.
A superb throw from DP Manu and he has recorded a distance of 81.31m that moves him to third spot in the group. He has more or less fixed his place in top six of group A.
