Pi Play Padel series 2024 ends with record wins, Gopichand’s academy support

The Pi Play Padel series 2024 ends with champions Adil Kalyanpur & Rishi Reddy (13-0) and Adit Patel & Johann Fernandes (12-1), pushing padel to the top in India.

Open doubles winners, Adil Kalyanpur and Rishi Reddy with 13 straight wins and zero losses. Mixed Doubles winners, Adit Patel and Johann Fernandes with 12 wins and a single loss.

India's first multi-city Pi Play Padel Series 2024 concluded successfully, making a big impact on India's growing padel community. The series took place across 7 cities, with over 150 players taking part and more than 350 matches played.The grand finale alone hosted 45 matches, showing the players talent across the country.

In the Open Doubles category, Adil Kalyanpur and Rishi Reddy emerged as champions with an impressive record of 13 straight wins and zero losses. The runners up in this category were Famaz and Austin, who played with great effort and skill throughout the tournament.

In the Mixed Doubles category, Adit Patel and Johann Fernandes displayed remarkable consistency, securing 12 wins against a single loss to clinch the title. Shiven and Steisha were the runners up, showing great teamwork.

Pullela Gopichand and his support

Chief Guest Pullela Gopichand, a badminton legend and former Indian player, attended the event and inspired the athletes with his support and encouraging words. Special thanks to Pullela Gopichand and his academy for hosting the grand finale. Their support was key to making the event smooth and memorable for everyone.

Adding to this, Pullela Gopichand praised the series stated, “The Masters Finals is the pinnacle of padel in India. It’s amazing to see all the top players across States compete head on to win the Series. Padel is emerging rapidly across the country, and world class centers like Pullela Gopichand’s provide a platform for players to fulfill their potential. It was an incredible event, well done to all the participants!”

The Pi Play Padel Series 2024 was more than a tournament, it helped grow padel in India by raising awareness giving athletes a platform to showcase their skills, and bringing together players, fans, and businesses to build a strong community.

Looking ahead, Padel India and Pi Play aim to expand to new cities like Pune, Jaipur, Goa, and Calicut, while also introducing grassroots programs to develop young talent. Future tournaments will focus on larger participation, better audience engagement, and collaborations with international organizations to elevate the sport's standards.

As this season comes to an end, the goal is clear to make padel one of the most popular racket sports in India and turn the country into a center for both competitive and recreational padel.
