National Open Relay Carnival: Good timings for quarter milers in 4*400 races - Highlights
Catch all the highlights from the maiden National Relay Open Carnival in Chandigarh.
Top Indian quarter milers gathered at the Sports Complex of Sector 7 in Chandigarh as the first-ever National Open Relay Carnival starts on Sunday.
The World Relay Championships in May and the 2024 Paris Olympics in July, the event served as the chance for the athletes to make their way to the 14-member squad that will travel to the Bahamas to train for one month.
As it happened:
They clocked a timing of 3:11:92 in the final which is just 5 milliseconds short of current world lead of the year.
Junior Camp B (3:13:76) and Tamil Nadu (3:20:17) clinches silver and bronze medal respectively.
Gold - National Team A -3:05:71
Silver - National Team B - 3:06:82
Bronze - Army Team - 3:09:92
National team A clinch the gold medal with a 3:28:64 finished off by Rupal Choudhary in the final lap.
National Camp B (3:33:71) and Reliance (3:46:71) won the silver and bronze medal respectively.
Junior Camp A team clinch the gold medal with a timing of 3:41:35. which is the second best timing of the world currently this year.
Junior Camp B (3:41:40) and Delhi (3:56:41) claimed the silver and the bronze medals.
