The final day of the National Inter-State Athletics offered an exciting track and field action in Panchkula. The day witnessed an outstanding and close competition in women's long jump and men's triple jump finals.
Kishore Jena were in action at men's javelin throw final as he found his first 80m+ throw of the season. Jyothi Yarraji and Tejas Shirse won the golds in 100 and 110m hurdles respectively.
Indian mixed relay team missed out on Paris Olympics qualification as they need a sub 3:12 minutes in the final despite of an massive improvement in national record..
The National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships also concluded today as well as the Paris Qualification period for athletics.
As it happened:
India A of Muhammed Anas, Jyothika Sri, Kiran Pahal and Mohammed Ajmal breaks the national record of 4*400 mixed relay team, clocking a timing of 3:12.87. However, they missed out on Paris Olympics qualification.
