Animesh Kujur, the only elite name in the line up, clocked 10.31s in men’s 100m and 20.55s in 200m. His efforts were the fastest on paper across both sprint distances. Tamil Nadu’s Rajesh Ramesh (45.77s) started the year with a brilliant time of 45.77s to win the 400m title. He became the first Indian to go sub-46s this year.
