A few of the top Indian track and field athletes were in action for the one-day athletics meet at the Kanteerva Stadium, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Saturday.

The Indian 100m and 400m runners continued their strong domestic outdoor season in 2025, whereas the second-string long jumpers and triple jumpers were putting up a show in their respective categories.

Meanwhile, Asian Medalist Tejashwin Shankar was also in the action for his pet event of men's high jump but was toppled by the current India no.1 high jumper, Sarvesh Kushare.

Bhavani toppled the event favourite Sandra Babu, who could only manage a jump of 6.24m, to clinch the gold medal.

Sarvesh edged past the national record holder, Tejaswin Shankar, who finished second with 2.19m, to clinch the gold medal.
