Asian Para Games 2026: Bhavina Patel, Suhas Yathiraj in action on October 16th– Schedule, timings

The 2026 Asian Games officially begin on October 18, but India’s campaign will get underway two days earlier with the Badminton, Football and Table Tennis action in Nagoya.

India has sent a 168-athlete contingent to Aichi-Nagoya, with athletes competing across 11 sports. The squad includes Paralympic medallists Avani Lekhara, Sumit Antil, Bhavina Patel, and Pramod Bhagat.

A few of India's star para shuttlers like Suhas Yathiraj, Krishna Nagar, and Manasi Joshi will begin their group stage action as India will have 25 para badminton matches on the day. 

The action will also begin in the para table tennis event with four group stage matches in singles, including Tokyo Paralympic medalist Bhavina Patel. 

On the other hand, the Indian men's team will be starting their action in the blind football event, with the first group match against South Korea.
