Asian Games 2026 LIVE: India will have two major opportunities to add gold medals to its Asian Games 2026 tally on Saturday, with both the men’s and women’s kabaddi teams featuring in their respective finals against Iran.
The women’s team takes on Iran at 9:30 AM IST, followed by the men’s final at 2:30 PM, giving India a chance to finish the day with two kabaddi titles.
There is plenty more medal action on the cards. India’s women’s 50m rifle 3P final is scheduled for 9:30 AM, while squash has two major semifinal clashes. Anahat Singh faces Japan’s S. Watanabe at 10:30 AM, while Abhay Singh takes on Pakistan’s M. Irfan at 11:15 AM.
The badminton singles events also enter a crucial stage, with Lakshya Sen facing Singapore’s Loh Kean Yew at 6:00 AM. Unnati Hooda and PV Sindhu are also in women’s singles action, while Ayush Shetty and the Treesa Jolly-Gayatri Gopichand pair feature later in the morning.
India’s hockey team takes on Japan at 1:30 PM, while Indian boxers and fencers will also be in action.
The athletics programme features several finals, including the men’s shot put, men’s triple jump, women’s 400m and men’s 400m, alongside the continuing decathlon.

The Indian archers have started their Asian Games campaign today, with plenty of firepower across the recurve and compound events.
In men's recurve, Dhiraj Bommadevara, Neeraj Chauhan and Yashdeep Sanjay Bhoge will take aim for India.
In women's compound, Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Chikitha Taniparthi and Prithika Pradeep will be in action.
India will be looking to make a strong start to the archery campaign.
India's Kartik Karkera and Sawan Barwal are in action. Both Indian runners were comfortably part of the pack at the 10km mark and held on till few more kms.
As the pace picked up, Sawan stayed with the six-man leading group while Kartik began to drop back.
At the 21km mark, Sawan has moved into the lead. Can he maintain the pace without burning out too early?
India's Kamali Prakash and Sugar Gayen will be in action in this event and still have a chance to advance further.
For now, the event has been rescheduled.
