Asian Games 2026 LIVE: The Asian Games 2026 enters another crucial day on Sunday, September 27, with India set for a packed schedule across multiple sports.
The biggest medal opportunities will come in squash, where Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh will battle for gold in the women’s and men’s singles finals. Abhay will face Malaysia’s Ng Eain Yow at 12:30 PM, followed by Anahat’s final against Malaysia’s S. Subramaniam at 1:30 PM.
In badminton, PV Sindhu and Unnati Hooda will be in women’s singles quarterfinal action. Sindhu, who beat Japan’s World No. 7 Tomoka Miyazaki 21-9, 21-13 in the third round, will face China’s Chen Yufei, while Unnati takes on Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi.
Boxing will see India in action in four quarterfinal bouts, including Kapil Pokhariya in the men’s 80kg category, while the women’s 65kg and men’s 60kg and +90kg categories will also feature Indian boxers.
The athletics programme includes several finals, including the women’s and men’s 200m, women’s long jump, men’s high jump and women’s 100m hurdles. Tejaswin Shankar will also continue his decathlon campaign.
India’s women’s hockey team will face Singapore at 3:30 PM, while the women’s sepak takraw team takes on South Korea and Japan in the group stage.

She has been disqualified under rule TR54.75, for too many technical infractions. Extremely unfortunate for India.
