Hello and Welcome to the Bridge's LIVE commentary of the individual 1/32 elimination rounds on Day 5 of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Tarundeep Rai and Pravin Jadhav take up the challenge in the Men's events while Deepika Kumari is the sole Indian representation in the Women's event.

WIN! Deepika Kumari advances to the Round of 16. She wins the game 3-2 in the decider set after getting 26 with two 9s and an 8. The American shot two 8s followed by a 9 to get 25.
The tables are turning on so quickly! Jennifer Fernandez of the USA takes the fourth set to make it 2-2 and take the game to the decider set. She posted 25 on board with a 9 followed by a couple of 8s. Kumari shot a 9, 6 and a 9 to just get 24. Hold your horses!
The comeback is truly on! Deepika Kumari overturns the game to take the third set. She started with a 10, followed by a 9 and a 8 to get 27. The American managed 25 with 8, 10 and a 7.
Deepika Kumari bounced back to post 28 in the second set with two 10s followed by an 8 in the start. The American youngster just posted 25 with two 9s and a 7.
Jennifer Fernandez of USA takes the first set with 26 onboard, scoring 9, 10 and a 7. Deepika Kumari managed just 25 with a seven to start followed by two 9s.
Deepika Kumari managed to get 27 in the third set with 9, 10 and 8 while Karma only got a 24 with a 6, 8 and a 10. Kumari advances to the 1/16 round to face Jennifer Fernandez of USA. Stay tuned to the Bridge for the Round of 32 which is just another term for the 1/16 rounds.
Both the archers are failing to capitalise and not being able to go for the 10s. Kumari shot 8, 9, and 9 to make 26 before the Bhutanese managed just 23 and giving away the set to Kumari yet again.

She takes the first set with 26 points on board with 8, 9 and 9 while Karma from Bhutan just managed 23 with a 8, 6 and a 9.
Ellison failed to get a 10 in the third round with an 8, and double 9s and posted 26 giving Jadhav a golden opportunity to reduce the deficit. However, the Indian archer just managed two 8s and a 7 to score a lowly 23 in the third set to crash out in the Round of 32.
