U17 Wrestling Worlds: Sainath wins bronze, four women wrestlers in final
Sainath Pardhi won India's second medal in Greco Roman at U17 World Wrestling C'ships while women wrestlers confirmed four medals.

The young Indian wrestlers continued their good show at the U17 World Wrestling Championships with Sainath Pardhi winning the bronze medal in the 51kg Greco-Roman category.
Sainath defeated Kazakhstan's Mussan Yerassyl 3-1 in the bronze medal match to win India's second bronze at the tournament after Ronak Dahiya, who won bronze in the 110kg category.
After losing to eventual gold medalist Turan Dashdamirov in the first round, Sainath displayed a better game in the repechage round and defeated Domenic Michael of USA 7-1 to confirm his place in the bronze medal match.
Apart from the medal, Indian girls put on a dominating show with four wrestlers getting themselves in the title contention.
Aditi Kumari (43kg), Neha (57kg), Pulkit (65kg), and Mansi Lather (73kg) reached their respective finals with the dominant show in the earlier rounds.
In 43kg, Aditi defeated Ukraine's Karolina Shperyk (10-0) and Marriem Mohamed Abdelaal (4-2) to set up the semifinal against Aleksandra Berezovskaia.
Her brilliant form continued in the semis as she defeated Berezovskaia 8-2 to set up the final with Maria Louiza Gkika from Greece.
Neha dominated the 57kg category and reached the semis without conceding a point.
In the first round, she pinned Mairi Mani of Greece and then defeated Georgia's Miranda Kapanadze comprehensively. In the semi-final, she defeated Anna Stratan of Kazakhstan 8-4 setting up the final with Japan's So Tsuitsui.
In 65kg, Pulkit dominated China's Ling Cai for 'win by fall' and followed that up with a commanding 9-0 victory against Juliana Catanzaro. She then blanked Egypt's Maram Ibrahim Aly 3-0 to seal her place in the gold-medal bout against Daria Frolova.
Mansi decimated her opponents en route to the final in the 73kg category.
She conceded just two points in her run to the final and defeated Lotta Englich (11-0), Piper Meredith Fowler (6-0), and Khrystyna Demchuk (12-2, by fall).
Five more Indian women wrestlers will be in action tomorrow along with the four gold medal bouts.
