The ongoing National Games has given the fans and followers plenty of excitement and drama, with athletes across various sporting disciplines giving it their all.

Wednesday, however, provided a heartwarming moment of sportsmanship.

On day 15, the Wrestling event were underway and as expected the competition was fierce but a moment of warmth that caught everyone's attention.

Annu beaten by July

In the women's 53kg first round, Annu of Bihar was up against July of Uttar Pradesh, and the match in itself had no big drama, with July winning 10-0.

The bout was over very soon, with July imposing four consecutive back rolls on Annu, giving her the 10 points needed to win by technical superiority.

But during the commotion, Annu seemed to have injured herself and was struggling to find her feet.

July, having seen this, helped her opponent by carrying her off the mat and into the players' area where she received further treatment.

In doing so, not only did July showcase her wrestling prowess but she also displayed an unwavering quality of sportsmanship by extending a helping hand to an opponent in need.
