Former Australian opener Nicole Bolton has been appointed as the fielding coach of Mumbai Indians ahead of the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL) season, starting February 14.

Bolton, who previously served as an assistant coach for South Australia and Adelaide Strikers in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), will assist head coach Charlotte Edwards. She replaced former English cricketer Lydia Greenway in the role.

A key batter for Australia between 2014 and 2019, Bolton featured in 50 ODIs, three Tests, and two T20Is. She holds the distinction of being the first Australian woman to score a century on an ODI debut and the first woman of any nationality to achieve this feat against a full ICC member team.

Mumbai Indians will kick off their campaign on February 15 against Delhi Capitals in Vadodara.
