WPL Auction Highlights: Annabel Sutherland, Kashvee are most expensive players

The Women's Premier League players' auction for the second season held in Mumbai on Saturday.
At the WPL auction, a total of 165 players, including 104 Indians and 61 overseas, was in contention for hefty deals.
However, only 30 slots were available to fill for the five teams: Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Annabel Sutherland and Shabnam Ismail were the two expensive foreign players while uncapped players like Kashvee Gautam and Vrinda Dinesh caught the limelight as they become the two most expensive uncapped players in the history of WPL.
Also few surprises as Chamari Athapaththu, the Sri Lanka women's team captain, was considered one of the top players in the went unsold. Kim Garth of Australia,Deandra Dottin of Westindies too faced a similar fate.
