The Indian women's U-19 team reached the final of the ICC Women's U-19 T20 World Cup 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Friday.

India defeated England by nine wickets to seal its place in the final for the second consecutive time.

India will face South Africa in the title clash on Sunday, seeking to defend its world title.

Indian spinners restrict England to 113

England, who had been in fine form throughout the tournament, opted to bat first after the side won the toss. England made a brilliant start to its innings, with their opening batters Davina Perrin and captain Abi Norgrovelooking poised to post a big score at 79 for 2 after 11 overs.

But the Indian bowlers fought back and scalped six wickets by conceding just 12 runs.

Indian spinners Parunika Sisodia and Vaishnavi Sharma picked up three wickets each, whereas Aayushi Shukla added two to her kitty.

After this sudden collapse, England could not recover and struggled to get past the three-digit mark. They finally posted 113 runs in their 20 overs.

Chasing 114, India faced no obstacles, with a brilliant 60-run partnership for the first wicket between G Kamalini and captain, Gongadi Trisha, setting up an easy chase.

Trisha departed after scoring 35 of 29 but the wicketkeeper batter Kamalini (56) completed her half-century and took the Indian team to the final.
