India, on Sunday, defeated archrivals Pakistan by 7 wickets to start their ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 campaign with a win. Jemimah Rodrigues starred with an unbeaten half century as India successfully chased down 149 with an over to spare.
The win takes India to second spot in the Group 2 Standings of the World Cup behind England.

Shafali Verma steps out and looks to go down town against Nashra Sundhu. She seems to have gotten it over the ropes, but Sidra Amin comes running in from long-off and intercepts it to send the Indian back to the dressing room. That was an extraordinary catch!
Verma departs for 33. We take the drinks early as Harmanpreet Kaur steps into the field.

Abig LBW shout given against Shafali Verma after taking some time by the umpire. The batter after consultation with Bhatia decides to go upstairs, and is proven right. It was missing the leg-stump. Was a poor call on the ground.
