Young wicket-keeper batter G Kamalini and spinner Vaishnavi Sharma were handed their maiden international call-up as the Board of Control for Cricket in India named their squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against Sri Lanka at home on Tuesday.

Both Kamalini and Sharma were a part of India's U19 Women's T20 World Cup winning squad earlier this year.

The 2025 ICC Women's ODI World Cup winning captain Harmanpreet Kaur will continue to lead the 15-member side with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy.

The series against Sri Lanka will mark the start of India's preparations for the 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in June-July next year.
