Swashbuckling Indian opening batter Smriti Mandhana has moved up one place to take the 3rd spot in the latest ICC ODI rankings for women.

The Indian vice-captain has moved from 4th to 3rd position, now holding 738 rating points, making her the top-ranked Indian batter.

Meanwhile, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur remains in the 9th position, the same as during the South Africa series played last June.

There has also been a change in the rankings of the Sri Lankan and Irish women following the conclusion of the ODI series between Ireland and Sri Lanka, where Ireland won 2-1.

Sri Lanka’s star batter Chamari Athapaththu and Smriti Mandhana swapped places in the rankings, with Athapaththu slipping to 4th and Mandhana rising to 3rd.

Chamari's teammate Harshitha Samarawickrama, who scored a stunning 105 runs in the 2nd ODI though in a losing cause and 48 off 56 balls in the 3rd ODI win against Ireland moved up eight places to 44th.

Another Sri Lankan player, Kavisha Dilhari, climbed four places to 50th in the ODI batting rankings after scoring 53 off 61 balls in the 2nd ODI.

Meanwhile, Irish cricketer Gaby Lewis, with her whirlwind knock of 119 off 75 balls in the 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka, moved up three places to 13th in the latest ICC T20I rankings.
