The Indian women's team, batting first against New Zealand in the 2nd ODI on Tuesday, scored 270/6. Newcomer Sabbhineni Meghana missed her maiden ODI half-century by one run despite a great start. Mithali Raj and Richa Ghosh then came together to revive the innings with a 108-run partnership. This was India's highest score vs NZ in women's ODIs.
However, a 119 not out from New Zealand's Amelia Kerr led the White Ferns to their second victory of the series against India.

More drama! Sophie Devine into the attack and starts with aggression. Motions to throw the ball back at Meghana in her follow through. Meghana, almost intimidated, hooks to fine leg, but the catch is dropped.
Yastika now falls, caught by Suzie Bates for 31. A 49-run partnership comes to an end. Mithali Raj joins Meghana. And then Meghana offers a catch. She is out for 49. Two quick wickets derail India's charge.

Shafali hits first six of day, 22 runs come in 6th over
Both Meghana and Shafali get a few mistimed shots to tempt the diving fielders but get the scoring into second gear. With the New Zealand bowlers getting a lot of movement, there are a lot of swing and misses at the moment.
Shafali gets the fun started by nonchalantly flicking a six off her pads in the 6th over. Meghana now smashes two fours down the ground.
