Wrestler Vinesh Phogat added to India's medal tally at the Yasar Dogu 2019 Ranking Series tournament in Istanbul, as she clinched the gold medal in the 53kg category on Saturday. Earlier, the Indian won all her bouts comprehensively (11-1, 7-0, 14-4). In the final, she beat Russia's Poleshchuk Ekaterina 9-5. Last week, she had bagged a gold in grand prix of Spain. After a successful stint in 50 kg category, Vinesh is slowly making her mark in the 53 kg category. https://twitter.com/TheBridge_IN/status/1150276235420811264 Earlier, Seema and Manju Kumari won a gold medal each in the 50kg and 59kg category respectively. In the 50kg finals, Seema beat Valeriya Chepsarakova of Russia from winning her second career Ranking Series title with a 3-2 win. Manju dominated against Katsiaryna Hanchar Yanushkevich of Belarus 13-2, in the 59kg finals. However, Sakshi Malik and Pooja Dhanda lost their respective events and crashed out of the tournament. In men's wrestling, Rahul Aware won gold in the 61kg freestyle category on Friday, while Utkarsh clinched the bronze in the same weight division. Aware, an Asian bronze medallist, clinched his first career Ranking Series title with a tactical 4-1 victory over Munir Aktas of Turkey.
