BSF Officer completes Ironman Triathlon in Denmark
Harish Kajla, Officer of the BSF completed the event with a timing of 12:42:25 against the cut-off time of 15:45:00.
Harish Kajla, a 35-year-old officer of the Border Security Force (BSF), has completed the Ironman Triathlon event held in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Ironman challenge, which consists of three events, including 180 Kilometers of cycling, 3.8 kilometers of swimming, and 42.2 kilometers of marathon is considered one of the most arduous triathlon events.
With the completion of the challenge, Harish has become the first Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) officer to achieve this feat.
Harish, who is now an Assistant Commandant at the BSF joined the organization in 2012.
The BSF proudly announced on its official X handle that Shri Harish Kajla, AC, has brought great honor to the nation and the Force,
“Shri Harish Kajla, AC brings in laurels to the Nation and the Force by completing the Iron Man Challenge, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, becoming the first officer from CAPFs to successfully complete the challenge.”
For the event, the BSF reported that the cut-off time for the male 35-39 age category was 15:45:00, and Officer Harish completed the event with a time of 12:42:25.
The BSF, which is the country’s largest border-guarding force, is a paramilitary organization responsible for guarding India’s borders, primarily with Pakistan and Bangladesh.
It is part of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, which also includes the CRPF, ITBP, SSB, and CISF.
