It's Day 1 of the Tokyo Olympics where India will be seen competing in 10 events including Shooting, Rowing, Archery, Table Tennis and Badminton. The best athletes from the country will be competing in various sports today, which could be the most rewarding day for the country in the Olympics.

Saurabh Chaudhary qualifies at first position, Abhishek Verma misses out
Saurabh Chaudhary has qualified for the final in the first position with a total of 586/600. Abhishek Verma, on the other hand, looked on course to make it but faltered in the final few shots to end with 575/600 to miss out. Here are the finalists for Men's 10m Air Pistol:

Abhishek Verma messes it up!
After shooting so well for a major portion of the qualification round, Abhishek Verma has messed it up in the final series. He shot a below-par 92 under pressure and is now down to number 17 in the rankings. This sadly seems to be the end of the road for Verma.
