After starting with a loss in the SL3-SU5 mixed doubles event, the 19-year-old Palak Kohli faced yet another defeat as she fell to a straight-game loss against Japan's Suzuki Ayako. The Indian lost 21-4, 21-7 at the Tokyo Paralympics.

Palak seemed to be no match to the world number 1 and surrendered tamely at the Yogoi National Stadium.

The Indian made countless unforced errors during the course of the match, hitting the shuttle out of the court on times more than one could imagine. The Indian coach Gaurav Khanna was even heard guiding the youngster to hit at the centre of the court after the game, but it made no difference as Palak failed to improve.
