Indian tennis players Sumit Nagal, Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan will be in action at the US Open, which went underway at the Arthur Ashe Stadium on Monday, August 31. Sumit Nagal, currently India’s top-ranked men's singles player, will take to the court at the Flushing Meadows for his first-round match in men's singles against US tennis player Bradley Klahn on September 1. However, India’s only singles entry, Sumit Nagal’s match will not have TV telecast.

Star Sports, who are the official broadcatsers of the US Open in India, has replied to a tweet and confirmed the information, which was drawn flak from Indian tennis fans.

Despite the match being played in a televised court, Star Sports has refrain to comment when charged with questions from fans on Twitter.

Star Sports have these many channels in total along with HD channels in the list below:

Surprisingly, at least three channels of the Star Sports netweirk broadcast IPL highlights all day, yet why are they struggling to show Sumit Nagal's match tonight?

The Indian, who created waves at the US Open last year after taking a set off Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer, could face world No. 3 Dominic Thiem in the second round if he wins his match.

Veteran doubles players Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan, meanwhile, will be the Indian representatives in the US Open doubles event, albeit with different partners.

Rohan Bopanna and his Canadian partner Denis Shapovalov have been handed a favourable draw in men's doubles and will take on the American duo of Noah Rubin and Ernesto Escobedo in the first round.

Divij Sharan and his Serbian partner Nikola Cacic, meanwhile, face a sterner test against the eighth-seeded men’s doubles team of Netherlands’ Wesley Koolhof and Croatia’s Nikola Mektic.

The dates for Rohan Bopanna’s and Divij Sharan’s doubles matches are yet to be finalised.
