Fresh off his ATP 250 Tata Open Maharashtra win last week alongside Ramkumar Ramanathan, veteran Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna has made it to the quarter-finals of the ATP 500 Rotterdam Open, partnering with Canada's NextGen star Denis Shapovalov.

Overcoming the challenge posed by a pair of familiar faces, Édouard Roger-Vasselin and Andrey Golubev, the duo of Rohan Bopanna and Denis Shapovalov cruised to a straight-sets victory 6-3, 6-4 to sail into the quarter-finals of the ATP 500 tournament in the Netherlands.

Rohan Bopanna, personally has been having a grand time on the 2022 ATP tour, having already won 2 titles - the season-opener Down Under with the Adelaide Open ATP 250 event and then the recently concluded Maharashtra Open, both with fellow Indian, Ramkumar Ramanathan.

Continuing on that winning momentum and joining forces once again with World No. 12 singles star and long-time doubles partner, Denis Shapovalov who considers the older Bopanna to be a mentor figure in his life, the duo played some quality tennis to proceed into the quarters of the event.

They are slated to lock horns with fourth seeds next, the Dutch-British pair of Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski, for a place in the semi-finals of the tournament.
