Davis Cup qualifiers Highlights: India crash out with loss to South Korea

Davis Cup 2026: The Indian team crashed out of the Davis Cup Qualifiers, going down 1-3 to South Korea in Seoul Saturday.
India, who were, trailing 0-2 in the tie after Dhakshineswar Suresh and Sumit Nagal lost the first two singles rubbers won the doubles match with N. Sriram Balaji and Dhakshineswar Suresh, winning a hard fought match which lasted an hour and 44 minutes.
Nagal then lost his reverse singles fixture in straight sets as South Korea crushed Indian dreams.

That's all we have from India's campaign at the Davis Cup. There were little hope after both Dhakshineswar Suresh and Sumit Nagal lost their respective singles matches yesterday.
But the doubles win for Sriram Balaji where he partnered with Suresh, who replaced Niki Poonacha, at the last moment did inspire some self belief.
Nagal had to carry forward that momentum in the reverse singles, but failed to do so. He didn't look at his best with his movement on court visibly hampered.

Set Two, Game 8: Soo Woon Kwon WINSSS!
Sumit Nagal saves four match points but his service is broken for a second time in a row and that's it. Soo Woon Kwon wins the second set 6-2.
He has beaten Nagal 6-1, 6-2 in straight games.
South Korea secure the tie with a 3-1 win. India's Davis Cup campaign ends! Korea are the first Asian team to qualify for Davis Cup Final 8.
