Billie Jean King Cup 2025 Highlights: India lost to the Netherlands 3-0 in the final pool match of the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup play-offs at the SM Krishna Tennis Stadium in Bangalore on Sunday.
Shrivalli Bhamidipaty and Sahaja Yamalapalli lost their singles rubber. Shrivalli lost to Anouk Koevermans 2-6, 4-6 while Sahaja lost to Suzan Lamens 2-6, 3-6.
The Dutch followed it up with another win in the doubles when Suzan Lamens paired up with Demi Schuurs to beat Ankita Raina-Prarthana Thombare 6-1, 6-1.
The match was a dead rubber for both sides having lost their respective opening pool matches against Slovenia in Group G action. Both India and the Netherlands will now be relegated to their respective continental groups next year.

Although inconsequential, India will play for pride on Sunday night against The Netherlands.
Remember, both these teams were beaten by Slovenia by an identical 2-1 margin.

Slovenia is through to the Qualifiers of the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup season.
India, meanwhile, will play the Asia-Oceania Group 1 fixtures next season.
