U Mumba TT to face Dempo Goa Challengers in UTT Season 7 opener as fixtures announced
Defending champions U Mumba TT begin their title defence against hosts Dempo Goa Challengers on July 9, with the final scheduled for July 26 in Goa.

Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) Season 7 will get underway with a blockbuster clash between defending champions U Mumba TT and two-time winners Dempo Goa Challengers on July 9 at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Goa.
The opening tie, scheduled for 7:30 PM, will launch a 17-day competition featuring seven franchises competing for India's premier table tennis league title. The season will conclude with the semi-finals on July 24 and 25, followed by the final on July 26.
Organised under the aegis of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) and promoted by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani, Butterfly UTT has become one of India's longest-running franchise leagues and an important platform for developing the sport in the country.
The second day of competition will feature a double-header. UP Prometheans will take on former champions Dabang Delhi TTC in a northern derby before Kolkata ThunderBlades face PBG Pune Jaguars later in the evening. Ahmedabad APL Pipers begin their campaign on July 11 against U Mumba TT.
Key rivalries headline packed schedule
Several marquee encounters are spread across the league phase. The Maharashtra derby between U Mumba TT and PBG Pune Jaguars is scheduled for July 16, while Dempo Goa Challengers and Dabang Delhi TTC will renew their rivalry on July 17 in a rematch of the 2024 final.
Another intriguing fixture arrives on July 18 when Ahmedabad APL Pipers meet PBG Pune Jaguars, potentially featuring a showdown between Indian stars Manika Batra and Diya Chitale. Later that evening, UP Prometheans face U Mumba TT, a tie that could pit doubles partners Manav Thakkar and Manush Shah against each other.
The seven participating teams are Ahmedabad APL Pipers, Dabang Delhi TTC, Dempo Goa Challengers, Kolkata ThunderBlades, PBG Pune Jaguars, U Mumba TT and UP Prometheans.
All teams will play each other once in a single round-robin format, with the top four advancing to the semi-finals. Matches will be broadcast live on the Star Sports Network and streamed on JioHotstar.
According to the schedule, six matchdays will feature double-headers, while 12 days will have standalone evening fixtures, setting the stage for an action-packed season in Goa.
