The disappointments for India at the ongoing China Smash continued, with the mixed doubles pair Manush Shah and Diya Chitale exiting in the round of 16, at the Shougang Park, on Tuesday.

The Indians succumbed to the Chinese pair of Xue Fei and Qian Tianyi in straight games (4-11, 6-11, 4-11).

With that, the only two teams left from India in the competition are the men's and women's doubles teams, with all the members from the singles contingent suffering exits.

The Chinese were heavy favorites coming into this game and they showed everyone why by stamping their authority right from game one, racing to an early 5-0 lead.

The first game was a quick affair with the Chinese pocketing it 11-4.

The second game was no different from the first, with the Chinese winning it comprehensively 11-6.

Thereafter, they applied the finishing touches to the match winning the third game 11-4 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the competition.

They will face fellow Chinese pairing Xiang Peng and Liu Weishan in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, the Indian men's doubles pair of Manush Shah and Manav Thakkar are in action tomorrow against Chile's Nicolas Burgos and Gustavo Gomes, at 8:30 am, IST.

Later in the day, Sutirtha Mukherjee and Ayhika Mukherjee will play Chinese Taipei's Cheng I-Ching and Li Yu-Jhun, the top-seeded women's doubles pair, in the round of 16.
