Top-ranked Indian shuttler PV Sindhu put up a dominating performance with a 21-19, 21-10 win against China's Chen Yufei to reach the finals of the Indonesia Open 2019. The Chinese shuttler was outclassed completely by Sindhu before the Indian raced to another scintillating glory with a stellar 21-10 win. The Hyderabad-born shuttler clearly had an additional gear that hurt Yufei after the break in the second game. The World No. 3 has faced Sindhu a total of 7 times in her career and presently trails the head-to-head battle 3-4. Sindhu will now face Akane Yamaguchi, who outplayed World No 1. Tai Tzu Ying earlier, in the summit clash. This was the third time that Sindhu progressed to a semi-final this year after India Open and Singapore Open. Earlier, the ace shuttler, who is eyeing her first title of the year, thrashed arch rival Nozomi Okuhara when she blasted past the third-seeded Japanese into the semi-final of Indonesia Open, BWF World Tour Super 1000 tournament in Jakarta. Sindhu remains the only active Indian in the Indonesia Open 2019 after Kidambi Srikanth was knocked out in the round of 16 by Ng Ka Long. With 2020 Tokyo Olympics drawing closer, Sindhu will look to up the ante and nothing better than a title in Indonesia.
