Welcome to The Bridge's LIVE Blog of Shooting from the Day 6 of the Tokyo Olympics.

Indian pistol shooters Rahi Sarnobat and Manu Bhaker had a mixed day at the Asaka Shooting Range today.

If Manu Bhaker managed to put all the criticisms behind and put up a stellar show to finish fifth after the Precision stage, the veteran Rahi Sarnobat struggled to get going and finished a disappointing 25th.

Rahi Sarnobat scores 96 out of a possible 100 after her first 10 shots. Nothing great, but a decent enough start for India at the Asaka Shooting Range. She is ranked 7th currently.

    Women's 25m Pistol Rules - Explained

The rules are pretty simple. The qualification of Women's 25m Pistol is divided into two stages - Precision and Rapid.

In both stages, all the shooters get to shoot 30 shots each, making it a total of 60 shots per shooter. The top 8 at the end of these 60 shots move into the final, while the remaining bid goodbye to their Olympic dream.

Only the Precision stage of Women's 25m Pistol is slated to happen today. The Rapid stage will be followed by the Final tomorrow.

Can Rahi Sarnobat, Manu Bhaker lead the Indian fightback?

Manu Bhaker has, so far, endured a torrid time in Tokyo. Right from the gun malfunction to shooting 8s under pressure, nothing has really went her way. People have criticised, abused, trolled her left, right and centre on social media.

Rahi Sarnobat, on the other hand, comes in with a much better headspace. She will start her campaign at the Olympics today, and this is the first time after her gold medal-winnning show at the ISSF World Cup in Croatia, that she will be competing in a tournament.

Coming in with two contrasting mindspace, can Rahi Sarnobat and Manu Bhaker lead the Indian fightback in Shooting? Stay tuned to find out.

    India resumes their Shooting campaign

Hello and a very warm welcome to our coverage of Shooting from the Day 6 of the Tokyo Olympics. India has had a torrid time in the shooting - a sport which they were expected to excel in, so far. The country's hot favourites for the medals faltered under the pressure and could not really step up when it was needed.

But, all is not over. There still are events left for India in shooting, and hopefully, the shooters won't return empty-handed!

So after a rest day, wherein they did not compete in any event, two Indian shooters - Rahi Sarnobat and Manu Bhaker, will resume the Indian campaign in Women's 25m Pistol today.
