Adarsh Singh won the men’s 25-metre standard pistol gold staying ahead of Udhayveer Sidhu, Omkar Singh and Olympian Gurpreet Singh in the 67th National shooting championship at the Dr. Karni Singh Range, Tughlakabad.

Adarsh won the gold medal with a seven-point margin over Udhayveer, Omkar and Gurpreet.

Udhayveer and Omkar won the silver and bronze medals while Gurpreet finished fourth due to a better count of inner-10s.

Meanwhile, in the junior category, Abhinav Choudhary scored 575 and won the gold medal ahead of Suraj Sharma (572) and Mukesh Nelavalli (568).

In the junior sports pistol segment, Mukesh Nelavalli won the yellow metal with a score of 588. Abhinav Choudhary (587) and Suraj Sharma (587) won the silver and bronze medals.

Prashant Kumar clinched the men’s 50-metre free pistol gold, as Sainyam won both the women’s and junior gold medals, scoring 548.

As it is a non-Olympic event, the medals were decided on qualification scores.
