Punjab Royals eased past Delhi Sultans by a margin of 6-1 in the vital tie of the ongoing Pro Wrestling League season. Punjab's icon player Geno Petriashvilli secured a dominating win and guided his team to victory at the Siri Fort Indoor Stadium. The Georgian wrestler, who came into the match unbeaten run maintained his streak after he outclassed Hitender Beniwal 10-0 by pinning him down. Punjab won the toss at the beginning and decided to rest Asian Champion Sandeep Tomar while the Delhi Sultans played safe by benching French Koumba Larroque. Azerbaijan's Icon player Alvarav Aslan started off on a positive note by thrashing India's Naser Hussain in the heavyweight category to put Delhi ahead in the match initially.

Nirmala Devi of India hammered Maroi Meizen of Tunisia 6-0 to level the scores 1-1. Two-time African champion Maroi was the favourite but Nirmala resisted the attacks and scored on the counter to script an upset. National Champion Jitender Kinha blanked his opponent Viond Omprakash 5-0 to give them a slender lead of 2-1.World Championship Bronze medallist Anastasija Grigorjeva hammered her opponent Monia Dhanoi 4-0 by pinfall to their lead to 3-1. Dhanoi was no match for the Latvian who played brilliantly to emerge victoriously. The Punjab Royals are now placed at the top of the points table with 3 wins from 4 matches, they have accumulated 6 points. On the other hand, the Delhi Sultans have lost each of the four matches they played. The Veer Maratha's and the UP Dangal will face off each other in the next tie of the Pro Wrestling League on Friday. UP Dangal will be eager to win the clash and gain a total of 8 points from 4 ties which will displace Punjab Royals at the top of the table.
