Global brand PUMA has opened a flagship store in Bengaluru, India – second on the planet after the one in New York. This is a testament to the growing culture of sports in India.

This store is first of its kind in India and it promises a combined experience of technology, sports, experiential retail all in one place. It is spread over 7,500 square feet, spanning three floors.

“We believe that experience is the biggest proposition for offline retail as much as convenience is a key to online. And, that’s precisely the reason for launching a first-of-its-kind PUMA store in India. The futuristic retail environment is focused on creating an immersive experience by engaging the consumer throughout their shopping journey. As a leading sports brand in the country, we are committed to providing the best of digital and personalized shopping experiences across all platforms and investing in this store reinforces just that,” says Abhishek Ganguly, Managing Director, PUMA India.

It is a state-of-the-art facility store that offers in-house customisation and unprecedented engagement zones. Puma opened a similar store in New York to directly compete with Adidas and Nike. The new store has the largest selection of merchandise available in the country.

The consumers can enjoy F1 racing simulators and race down New York City as well. It also features tried and tested experiential elements from the recently launched PUMA store at Fifth Avenue in New York City.

One can customize his/her footwear, apparel, and accessories using print up to 100 different options. The interactive screen helps the customers design their merchandise the way they want and place a direct order with the warehouse and have it shipped to their home.

The store will also feature global collaborations with popular celebrities like Adrianna Lima, Selena Gomez, Tetris, etc. Puma edged past rival Adidas to emerge as the largest sportswear retailer in India, racking up sales of 1,157 crores compared to Rs 1,130 by Adidas. The collaboration with Virat Kohli has propelled the success of PUMA in India.
