Paralympics 2024: Archer Sheetal Devi records PB, misses world record
Sheetal Devi finished second in the ranking round of Compound Archery with a record score of 703 at the Paralympics 2024.
Armless Indian archer Sheetal Devi finished second in the women's individual compound open ranking round of Paralympics 2024 and recorded a personal best score of 703 points on Thursday.
Sheetal missed the world record just by one point as Oznur Girdi Cure of Turkey scored 704 points.

Devi will face the winner of the round of 32 match between Mariana Zuniga of Chile and Choi Na Mi of Korea, who finished 15th and 18th respectively in the ranking round.
Zuniga had won a silver in the women's individual compound open in the Tokyo Paralympics.
Another Indian in the women's compound, Sarita finished with a score of 682.
In the men's recurve, Tokyo bronze medalist Harvinder Singh finished ninth in the ranking round with 637. Frenchman Guillaume Toucoullet topped with a new Paralympic Record score of 652.
Harvinder’s opening-round match will be against Chinese Taipei’s Lung-Hui Tseng on September 4.
