Paralympics 2024 Para-Athletics: Hokato Sema wins bronze medal in men's shot put F57 Final - Highlights
Indian athletes featured in multiple track and field finals on Friday at the Paralympics.
The Indian contingent at Paris began the day on 25 medals and will know fully well that they will have more than just one opportunity to add to this tally.
The action began at 1:38 pm with Women’s 200m T12 round 1 where Simran Sharma progressed to the semis.
At 2:07 pm, in the Men’s javelin throw F54 final, Dipesh Kumar battle for a medal. This is followed by the Men’s 400m T47 round 1 at 2:47 pm when Dilip Gavit represented the country.
At 3:21 pm, in the Men’s high jump T64 final, Praveen Kumar won the gold medal for India.
There is a break through the afternoon after which action resumes late on Friday at 10:30 pm with the Women’s javelin throw F46 final featuring Bhavnaben Ajabaji Chaudhary.
Almost in parallel, at 10:34 pm, in the Men’s shot put F57 final, Soman Rana and Hokato Hotozhe Sema stepped up to the plate.
And the final piece of action is the Women’s 200m T12 semi-finals at 11:12 pm where Simran Sharma took the track after her round 1 earlier in the day.
