Paralympics 2024 Para-Athletics: Top-2 finish in men's Club throw F51 for India as Dharambir wins gold, silver for Pranav Soorma - Highlights
Medal hopefuls Sachin Khilari and Simran Sharma were in action in the shot put and 100m sprint.
Buoyed by the Indian contingent bettering the Tokyo medal haul, the Indian athletes hit the track and field events with renewed vigor on Wednesday afternoon.
The action began at 01:35 pm in the Men's Shot Put F46 where Yaseer, Rohit Kumar, and Sachin Khilari stepped up to the plate.
Then at 3:17 pm, Amisha Rawat represented the country in the Women's Shot Put F46 event.
After that, there was a long break after which action resumed at 10:50 pm late on Wednesday night with the Men's Club Throw F51 event featuring Dharambir, Pranav Soorma, and Amit.
And finally, at 11:03 pm, Simran Sharma took the track in the Women's 100m T12- Round 1.

First-ever Top 2 finish for India in Para-athletics at Paralympic Games
India won gold and silver medals in the men's F51 club throw final and this is India's first-ever top-2 finish in Para-athletics.

Silver - Pranav Soorma - 34.59m

Michal of Czechia threw a 27.04m on his first attempt
With this, India's Amit Kumar Saroha finished in the 10th position with the best throw of 23.96m.
